i came accross you page and wass like well i have tried everything else why not try this in less then 15 min i had it out and taken apart. just like u said and your pic.'s showed it was that one connectin pin that was bad i resoldered it and put it back together it works perfect lol i just cant believe how many miles i have put on my truck since it went out. i was about to order the cluster for $300.00 thanks man it didnt cost me anything. every man should have solder and a solderin gun in his toolbag you never know when you will need it.

Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to share this fix with everyone. I had to solder the exact same contact as the one in your truck on my 99 Blazer. I had a few more screws to pull the dash apart but once I got in there your instructions were point on. You Rock! Thanks again
